Prescott Baby Photographer
Oh the sweetness of this little guy!! The squishability factor was at a 10 - and the baby blue eyes were off the chart :) I love it when I get to hang out barefoot and shoot at my house. (And when Ella sleeps through the entire shoot :)

Santa Baby
Ella is 6 months old. And I'm totally biased, but I think she is STINKIN' cute. And no...none of my other children have this many pictures and yes...I'm probably going to give them all a complex, but I feel like I'm making up for all the times when i coulda...shoulda...woulda...
She has a new name and a new sound to go along with her new name..."Screaming Eagle" (or is it a Hawk that screeches??) either way...its a piercing loud sound...and its not a cry...just a noise/scream.
MERRY CHRISTMAS!! Time to go and drum up some "magic".
*p.s. Lynda-this totally counts as part of your Christmas present! :)

A year ago today...
Earlier this week I was talking with my mother on the phone -trying to get her to extend her microscopic visit OR to give ME her visit to Tia's next week - and as she deftly sidestepped my pleading and redirected the conversation towards how well I was doing now - considering this time last year I was holed up in a chair with a spit rag - I immediately started to cringe. Ugh. The thoughts make me shudder and cause my mind to go numb (lucky for her I gave up on my pleading). The spit rag was awful. I had excess saliva the likes of which I had never before experienced and the only way to combat it was...the SPIT RAG. It would sick everyone out (including me, which just caused me to produce even more spit). Matt hated it when he'd walk by and grab a towel for something only to find out that it was a wet spit rag. :) :) he...he... okay even though its sick - it was still kinda funny. Even funnier was the run to the store when he realized all of our kitchen towels were used up. So now (a year later) we have like 50 kitchen towels shoved in our little towel drawer.
Last week at Thanksgiving, I talked my brother-in-law Ray (a.k.a. Uncle Ray Firedance) into snapping some pictures of Ella and I. I was totally obsessed with the Blue walls at Jon's house...I knew they'd make for some killer color once I got my hands on them.
Ella - 5months:
-refuses to sleep past 5:45am (case in point this morning...I gave up after fighting it for an hour...and we started the day at 5:30am...and she's happy and giggling and rolling all over my concrete floor in the office--on a blanket of course.)
-SCREAMS at dinner time insisting we put something in her mouth. It's like a little bird - without the parental regurgitation. (Consequently all the kids feel that its open season now and would like to give her some of their dinner :(
-Smiles the second you make eye contact with her - and sometimes even gives you a little scream of excitement, hoping to lure you into picking her up.
Who would've thought a year ago today that I would have this sweet, precious, adorable bundle of joy (who continues to pack nuts in her cheeks)?

Ella K - Havin' a great day
We have come so far.
I didn't think the day would come when we could say that (or sing it as Matt does :) So we got off to a rough start - she wasn't THAT bad, but I was witholding posting on her until she stepped it up in the sleep category. I mean c'mon girl...your brothers and sister were going from 7 till 7 at 12 weeks!! Here we are past 4 months and I'm still waiting. However, last night she did go from 7:30pm to 5:45am, got a few binky's and then we got up at 7am. I'll take that any day. She took a big nap this morning...and her mother is starting to view the world in a different light.
4 MONTH Milestones:
hmmm...
-rolling
-chewing on hands, a lot
-talking
-smiling
-sleeping (kinda)
-OH! and she found her feet :)

El' Gordita - 3 Months
Or just "El" for short. I feel guilty that I only get a few shots of this not-so-tiny girl every month. She changes daily and its hard to grab hold of these few, precious "happy" moments and hold on. I'm still sleep deprived, but I haven't given up on her yet - in fact she's taking what just might be her longest nap to date - going for 2 hours (okay she did wake up after 45 minutes, but a quick little binky helped her go back down). Still have hope every night, that it might be the night she goes for the gold. Here's to hope...in the meantime, here's what she's been up to..
*3 Month milestones:
-Smiles
-Talks, angelic-like...its like they come with these built-in self-preservation features like "I know I squirm and scratch in my crib all night long and make it impossible to get more than 4-5 hours of continuous sleep, so now I will make the MOST adorable angelic coos and sighs so that you will NOT throw me out the window." (not that I have ever thought that...okay maybe the other night around 4am...but only for a second)
-found her hands and holds them so sweetly and then tries to stuff both fists in her mouth and gnaw away on them noisely (as if she needs any more food?!)
-Hair control - a friend recommended some pommeade and water - works like a charm!
**Happy Birthday to my dear sweet mother...be happy that I'm too busy to track down pictures of you and post them everywhere!!
***If I ever get bored with photography, I think I'll head here...good inspiration (my favorite is the gold C3PO on page 4 - ignore the crude bumper sticker posts :)

Chunk -a- Burnin' love...
Since I'm still on *maternity leave* (not sure what that means?) BUT its a little hard to keep the camera stashed away...and I've been itchin' to do this image ever since I bought the flower pot a year ago...thank goodness my sister provided the perfect baby for this shot...her older sister "Chunky Tomato Soup" would've done just as good :)
Title: "Who wants some more food??"

Baby Blue Eyes for Brookie...
I love me a good set of baby blue's...and this little guy has his fair share of them. I'm really impressed with how many cute ones I ended up with in the short amount of time we had (you can't even tell that craziness was surrounding him!!!)
