Winter Top 6

Okay...my last post and then I'm headed to bed early for once! I have to admit that I, as well as some other un-named members of my family, struggle with the weather change during winter. So in an effort to "polyanna" it here...I composed my "Winter Top 6"...feel free to add on.

6. The cold weather keeps your trash from stinking in your garage
5. Free babysitting at the YMCA (this will make any list...any time of the year!)
4. Seat heaters. Seat heaters. Seat heaters.
3. Over-the-top Christmas cards!!!!
2. Food....baked, brined, brought over-whatever :) I love it all and the winter season is PACKED with it!!!
1. Its so cold you can grocery shop and leave the groceries in your car and go an run other errands!!! (I'm good at this polyanna game)

Okay...so I tried not to cheat and use Christmas stuff since I love the Christmas holiday...its just that it happens to fall during winter :( Oh well...there's always the trips to Yuma!!!

(What will never make the winter list is being forced to now clothe and shoe my children...Laina is finding this especially difficult to acclimate to...and frequently runs into the YMCA without shoes...I keep hoping that she'll get cold and realize the need for them...but...at least we've figured out that pants must be put on over the swimsuits and an occasional scarf will get thrown on!)

Didn't know you were such a cold weather wuss until Costco and your post... a year ago it must have been the seat warmers that were hiding your true colors in gridlock traffic during a snowstorm for 4 hours. Ditto on the kidzone, how would we survive? Thanks for all the posts to read, a great way to unwind after church!

I love what you said about leaving your food in the car. So true...The other night we went to the movies and left the milk and other groceries in the car! It was sneaky and liberating all at the same time! I wanted to tell you Nic told me you put your high chair seat (that latches on the table) in the dishwasher. I tried it today (We have the same one.), and it came out beautiful (minus the knife marks Maverick made)! Thanks for the tip! It needed it.
