Motherhood

(moving on from the un-lovely previous mother post :)

I love taking pictures of mothers...I feel as though I'm helping provide proof that mothers work hard and that they truly are doing the best job they can - stopping often to remind themselves to find JOY in the JOURNEY. I had a session yesterday of a mom with her 3rd little child and it was wonderful. It reminded me of a session that I never posted awhile back of a mom pregnant with her 5th baby - absolutely glowing...and of course the angelic result.

Woops!

I've been telling my friends that I walk around in an anxiety-ridden daze...worried that I'm always forgetting something. My poor brain just can't keep track of everything...if its not written down...chances are slim I'm going to remember. This was the case with Sheri's maternity session. I have no idea how long I would've had the images on my computer if she hadn't asked how they were! This is my cousin's wife who has had quite the roller-coaster preganancy and is due a few weeks after me. We're glad that the baby is still in her and that we were able to get a few images of her and her kids...it wasn't easy since we had 3 others running around wanting their pictures taken as well!

{Classic} Maternity Photography

Words can not describe the "enchanted" garden I encountered on this shoot...I will have to do some serious begging :) to be able to shoot there when everything is green. This couple was beyond adorable...everything she put on was killer and her husband would just say "that looks so good"..."isn't she beautiful"? All I could think about was how beautiful she was going to look in these images...she didn't disappoint...and neither did her perfect little belly.

I'm nominating this as my all-time fave...(I like the color pop version better, but figured this would work also :)

Of course I had to throw in some funky shots to our classic session - I couldn't help myself...I mean a yellow shirt!!! I was in heaven :)

I told them they had to show their children that they were once young and fun and....even maybe a little bit funky.

38 weeks.

I'd like to start off with...its not fair...wow...and a whole other myriad of thoughts...how about "this is me at 20 weeks" :) BUT this is not about me...its about a soon-to-be new mother...who is gorgeous. I tried to start early labor with some jumping and hopping...we'll see if it worked!

We shot these at 1 o'clock and I loved playing with the different light...not mention the warm sun :)

This was a very different shot for me, but was fun trying something new...creative use of full-on sunlight...not to mention a tank top in Prescott at the end of January :)

Okay...you can go and have your baby now :)

Christmas will be late...

For DeeDee! But I don't think she minds...Her little guy will be arriving sometime after the New Year--so stay tuned for his shoot (he's yet to be born--still hidin' out in the belly :). I had to share this killer shot of her 'cause it showed the fabulous bracelt she had on...oh and the belly :)...I'm still working on the rest DeeDee so hopefully you won't have to wait too much longer!
