Friday-Saturday {Recap}

Holy cow...I'd better get this information put down before another weekend comes and goes. Its not easy to get this stuff down when you're bedtime is nearing midnight! I normally would've glossed over it, but it contained some note-worthy events AND a few #5 "Year of Mother" moments that MUST be documented - its what gets us through these crazy times.

The first May "Year of Mother" moment happened on May 1st...Sweet!! I get a whole month to cruise now :) at least for Indy. I went and helped out at his school's Pioneer Day. Actually - they didn't really need my help, so I just followed Ade around, she was in charge of Indy's group. They started out on a nature walk and had a little talk about a Yavapai Indian girl and all the things she would encounter on a walk home.

Then we went over and made some cobbler and biscuits...Ade and I weren't smart enough to read the schedule right...so the kids never got to try the cobbler...I was okay with that since the lid was being put down in the dirt...hmm...

Concentrating maybe??

Ahh...here's the real look of concentration...complete with tongue sticking out. They learned how to do some weaving.

And make some candles...

Indy thought it looked like a "tear" and acted accordingly.

This next picture is sub-par in terms of image quality, but its with Jacob's gma...and we like her. She was brave enough to take two boys to CrackerJacks :)

Indy gave his doll a haircut, put a mad face on him and named him "Elijah" and told me he was a slave.....nice.

I think there's mild disgust registering on her face...maybe its the dirty pants?

Instead of packing our lunch...I picked up Arby's. It was too much to add one more thing onto the day...AND I let him come home early instead of having to go back to school...such a nice nice mother eh???

Saturday we all headed down to the Valley. The kids got to go with Uncle David to the Childrens Museum, but the real highlight was the fire cheetos and slushies they got afterwards. Matt and I were able to attend Tanner's temple session and see him off as he leaves for his mission to Indianapolis, Indiana. He'll be a great missionary. I have this memory of him at a young age setting up his 4yr old sister's folding chair when we all went dove hunting at like 5am. It will be forever burned in my memory as an example of his thoughtfulness and caring demeanor. After the temple we went and had a blast in the back room of Old Chicago...the kids dogpiled on eachother until they were in tears. Then we took our little crew and headed to the batting cages at CrackerJacks...but Laina and I were smart this time. We dropped the boys off and went and had our first-ever mom/daughter nail-painting outing. (#5 Year of Mother for Laina ;) She was absolutely speechless the entire time. She got flowers on her nails and toes and I don't think she moved a muscle the entire time. I got beat up by the massage chair, but a really nice pedicure. I'd just like to say that this next image is not easy to take a month and a half before delivering...she had to stand behind me :)

Now I've thought long and hard about McLaren's May "Year of Mother" moment and I think the free balloon from the grocery store and the treat counts...don't you?

Mayday...Mayday...

The website is experiencing some technical difficulties, as in the link doesn't work at all and if it did, the "contact me" emails are not being received by me, even if you get a cute little response that says I'll be getting with you shortly. Contact me directly at: m_holdsworth1@yahoo.com

Rock on...

You know the session is going to Rock when you've got:

Serious "funk" going on...

Boys...doing what they do best...

A husband who isn't afraid to get in there and love on his wife...
Great shoes...

Some groovy background...
Paris models for hire...

Some good graffitti...

A mom who can love and be proud of her family in ANY circumstance (just look at the pride in her eyes :)

Beautiful women...

And above all...good "bad" humor....

Spring is HERE

I've become a crazy weather watcher. Everyday I get up and look at the forecast hoping that the beautiful weather will hold, and so far so good :) I loved all the different colors we were able to incorporate...and the TRUCK! Way fun.

Groovin' Graduate

I was going to make a play on words for seniors...but then thought about how many people confuse "high school seniors" with geriatrics :) so I went for "graduate". She was great - and its really nice when I can recruit all of these "graduates" to help with babysitting!

Boys with guitars

Rock on...brothers...rock on.

Any-hoo I loved the first image of the session where the little guy just started jammin' out...it was hard for him to just have to "hold" the guitar and not be able to serenade us.

Family Catch-up

I'm a tad bit behind on posting my sessions, so now its time to play some catch-up. I had an extended family session and all the kids were great...not one of them fell into the little pond - quite the miracle. But first some female bonding :)

This next session I had 2 graduates from Emby Riddle Aeronautical University. He's a pilot now and I couldn't resist trying to grab some airplane shots...

My favorite of the session....
