Twins...and twins...

2 sets of twins
Ages 4 & 8.
Don't you think
We did GREAT???

I was going to just put the twin part...thinking that would speak for itself, but you know I can't resist a GREAT rhyme.

Their parents are good friends...and when I asked for a pier to shoot at...they happily suggested the one in San Clemente, just down from the "family" beach house where they've been going for the past 30 years.

Yeah. I'm jealous.

okay...so I cut off part of the "8"...the water was coming in fast...we had to bolt!!

I just don't know if I could bring myself to switch those 2 heads!! ;)

This baby...

was born for the beach! Check out those baby blues. He was also born for my camera :) And yes...he hails from sunny CA, so technically he was "born" at the beach.

Ocean...lots of it!

For what it's worth...this was my only family "brave" enough to get wet...maybe brave isn't the best description since it wasn't by choice ;) They were the only ones I didn't notice the water as it came rushing in!!! They were troopers...I love the water as a background in some of the images...its hard to get since your "light" source (a.k.a. the sun) is always behind the water!

The "Academy"

While we were in Carlsbad, my younger brother pointed out that the last few lines of Rudyard Kipling's poem "If" was on the wall of the Army and Navy Academy. This academy is a school for grades 7-12. We decided to throw my 80-ish year old grandfather, WWII vet, in the car and head over for a few quick photos. I'm glad we did this--and not just for the photo op with my grandfather, but for the ability to "threaten" my seven year old son whenever he steps out of line. If you think I'm joking....I assure you, I'm not.
I'm desperate.
I used it this week and it worked.

Ask...and you shall receive

Okay..maybe not always, but I felt they were reasonable requests :)

First...for Jill--a quickie peek.

She surprised her sister with a beach session in Cali. The BEST birthday, Christmas, Halloween, New Years, Mothers Day, Valentines Day, Easter gift I can think of.

AND

second-for my mother-in-law. Who asked specifically for a rascal picture...here ya go.
