EGGscellent Week-in-Review

**Note: I apologize for the massive photo post I'm about to make. I'll chalk it up to single-parenting-end-of-tax-season-5:30am exercise-exhausted-so-I-can't-stay-up-late time constraint. There. I feel much better...on to the photo deluge :)

Some of these are out of order...work with me here...gotta get dinner going!

1. THE EGG DROP.
Every year the first graders at Taylor Hicks do an "Egg Drop". Its hilarious. They have to package an egg somehow to prevent it from breaking when dropped from the top of the school. Being the semi "lame" parents we are...we missed Indy's year but heard about all the hilarious egg busts (someone sent one down in a tin can)...that sealed the deal for Laina. We were there with a camera (thank you for being the first and allowing us to make mistakes.) Luckily Gma kathy helped us out and Laina's egg sailed sweetly to the ground.

2. Easter eggs & Easter cookies.
Gma Kathy died eggs with the kids, but when it came time to eating the eggs...McLaren decided he'd rather just crack them. We tried to make Easter cookies (google 'em for next year - its a good activity), but I didn't read the recipe - and started with the nuts instead of ending with them...and well....the glob you see below was supposed to be nice little "tomb" cookies. Next year.

3. EASTER BUNNY
Yes. He came back...and he was better than ever...even though the entry via horseback didn't work out (the horse was spooked...go figure) we still celebrated. Indy & Carter overheard adults talking and figured out his identity...but they played along beautifully. This year, the bunny decided to host a "Dance Break with the Bunny". Tia provided the music and some excellent choices that the kids could pick out of a basket. It was hilarious - especially when the bunny called it quits and we were just warming up!!

Ella loved the Bunny more than Mac, & Eiley & WAY more than Bree & Lucy...it was hilarious! (we take pleasure in others pain I guess :)

McLaren couldn't hate the bunny for long and actually let him touch him this year...seems we've passed that hurdle.

We missed Courtland as Jace, Tia & I posed with the Bunny for a Noble 2010 Easter picture. (sniff sniff...)

All in all...it was an excellent week...ready for this one and next one to be over--fast...is that too much to ask??

Ooo! Dinner...better get to it!

Oh, it was so GOOD to see the ol' Easter Bunny again. So many fond memories of years gone by. I laugh just remembering Mackie's reaction to him the first year. You look like you're all having so much fun!!
Love, Grammy H.

I think your Easter bunny looks kind of creepy... maybe it's the eyes. I don't know. Other than that, it does look like you had an EGGscellent week... ha ha.

Hey, maybe next year, you could ask that bunny to bring his skis. You know he has some.
