We've had a wonderful vacation and so I'll start where I left off...heading to the Noble Christmas party in Mesa. My aunt Peggy manages to get us all together to eat, sing, perform and be merry. I was telling some friends about how talented my dad's side of the family is and so I brought my video camera along for proof...
Woops!! forgot to charge the batteries so you'll just have to take my word for it...my cousin Lincoln just won a "Zony" (can you guess what that is?) for a piece he composed for the musical "The Two Gentlemen of Verona"...(a Zony is Arizona's version of a "Tony"---pretty clever eh?) My family usually shows up with a "joke" for their talent and this year was no exception, however we got lucky and Laina had to give her first talk in Sunbeams and decided to include the words to "Mary did you know" and so the Holdsworth Noble's used that as their talent! (And then Matt had to go and spoil it with a bad joke...can't blame him though...he just was encouraged by my father's bad joke :)
The next evening we had our Holdsworth Christmas party, where the big news was Grant and Kristen's engagement. We're very excited for them and that means 2 weddings this year!! We had a fun evening with Paul and Kate visiting from Michigan and we got to have our Macky Momma and Big Mac back together again! We had a surprise talent show (aren't those the best!^#$%$ ) and played some games...we had soooo much fun that we brought the curtains down!!!! (kidding Amy :) couldn't help myself :)
We had a crazy Christmas Eve, complete with the Kimballs kids and ours running wild through the house as we tried to get everyone to act out the nativity...the highlight was Kammi and Laina getting to be angels in white wedding play dresses.
Christmas morning was wonderful. These were taken as documentation that Indy would rather play with the Baby Alive and the Barbie, than the Air Hogs (I'm sure these will come in handy some day).
(cruel....I know :)
And while we're on the subject of Baby Alive....HELLO!!! (A gift from a father of course--because what sane mother would actually buy her child a doll that pees and poops...yes you read that correctly...you feed it baby food and it comes right out the other end. And wouldn't you know it...the first diaper change coincided with our own ALIVE BABY--baby McLaren...so after a mild exchange of words with my daughter's father, I ended up changing 2 diapers! Needless to say...Baby Alive has run out of food and no longer wears a diaper...in fact Laina must've grown annoyed by her because she has been completely shut off!)
As for Santa...he brought some lame-o remote control car that wouldn't operate unless the remote was 2 inches away!!
And here's who played with the Air Hogs.....
We packed our bags and headed down to Yuma on Christmas afternoon, so Matt could launch his first official paintball fight. He was in heaven! Thanks to the brothas' who participated in "Border Crossing"...the show down with David will live on as one of the greatest of 2007! Unfortunately there are no pictures because apparently it really hurts to get shot with those things and there are some pretty ruthless people in the family who would aim at the press photographer given the chance.

So exciting to see that you've updated your blog. I thought you were European or something.. on a "holiday." Sounds like you had a fabulous Christmas and New Years. Would've loved to have seen and read a post on THE "ring." :(

Thanks for the holiday posts. Its good to have a nice accesible place to remember. The Court and Taylor monopoly pic is an all-time great.
